2011 – 2012 School Year - Outdoor Environmental Education Field Trip Opportunities
Dear Elementary & Secondary School Teachers:
Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and the Hamilton Conservation Authority are once again, working together to provide outdoor environmental education program opportunities for elementary and secondary students. The focus of these programs is to provide students with hands-on, outdoor education experiences that meet student learning expectations as found in the Ministry of Education guidelines.

Extreme Weather
All programs continue rain, snow, or shine. Program participants are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather. During weather extremes a greater portion of our programs will be conducted indoors. In cases of extremely high, sustained, gale force winds or wind gusts 60km & over or if there are no suitable indoor program alternatives: e.g. stream study, field trips will be re-scheduled.
