Environmental, Outdoor Education Programs

Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and the Hamilton Conservation Authority are once again, working together to provide outdoor environmental education program opportunities for elementary and secondary students. The focus of these programs is to provide students with hands-on, outdoor education experiences that meet student learning expectations as found in the Ministry of Education guidelines. Envirothon

Envirothon is organized by the Ontario Forestry Association and offered to secondary school students each year in communities throughout Ontario. Stewardship Councils under the auspices of the Ministry of Natural Resources take the lead in bringing community partners together to run Regional Envirothons. The winning team from each regional event goes on to compete in the Provincial Competition. Click here to view the Envirothon information.
