The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board Foundation is a registered charitable organization and is the charitable arm of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Established in 1976, the Foundation is committed to enhancing the school experience by providing a welcoming and inclusive environment that nurtures personal achievement.
Through the many donors and partners who support the HWDSB Foundation, the Board is able to provide many awards, scholarships and bursaries to students each year. We are also able to initiate programs and services that would otherwise not be possible through traditional resources.

Donate
You can make a donation to HWDSB Foundation in four ways, click here for more information.
Corporate Funds
Organizations can start a scholarship fund in their company’s name. Many businesses have taken advantage of this opportunity as a community relations initiative where they determine the criteria of the fund. In 2002, IBM started the IBM Student Excellence Awards, which recognize student achievement at both the Elementary and Secondary levels. You can customize your award or program to reflect and align with your company’s mission and core services.
Estate Planning
Individuals have remembered their old school in their will by establishing a donation or a student award to the HWDSB Foundation. Leaving a legacy at the school you attended or with the Board as a whole, is a continuous gift that will benefit generations of students. Speak to your lawyer or financial planner about this tax saving opportunity, or contact April Morganti, Innovation and Partnership Officer, for a personal meeting at 905-527-5092, extension 2661.
