The Archives were established in the 1980's to preserve the documents, photographs and artifacts that tell the history of the Hamilton Board of Education, now the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB). It provides a lasting resource for those who wish to know more about the educational system and the people who established and developed it.
